Smoky Lake Pumpkin Fair!

The Great White North Pumpkin Fair and Weigh-Off is being held on Saturday, October 6, 2007.  Pumpkins 800 lbs?  Watermelons 100 lbs?  Squashes 600 lbs?  You have to see it to believe it.  Prizes are awarded for the largest (in excess of $6500.00) but there are also 8 hidden weight prizes of $100.00 each for pumpkins over 50 lbs. up to 350 lbs.  You can also enjoy a huge farmers market, art show, threshing bee, pork supper, ‘Old Time’ country dance, scarecrow displays, a golf tournament and children's activities including a midway.  For those wishing to participate, seed and a pamphlet on “How to Grow Giant Pumpkins” is available by calling 780-656-3674
